Great news!

Well, our trip into Francistown for the Christmas party was a little more interesting than we'd envisioned...

The party itself was fairly bland (no dancing on tables I'm afraid, Alex - though a spider ran under one which caused a stampede to the bar!). Christmas carols about sleighs and snow don't really work when it's 40 degrees C. Food was fantastic, however.

Anyway, the next morning I popped into the doctor, to find out that I'm pregnant :) So Ian and I are going to be parents a bit quicker than we were planning on but it's awesome and we're over the moon. Means I'll have to behave myself a bit more than usual on our planned New Year's houseboat trip on Kariba, but I'm sure it can be done!

Due date is August 6th, which seems a really long way away, but I have a feeling will come around very fast. So next year's going to mean moving to Namibia (probably changing company first to try and push our salaries up a bit), completing my MSc while working full time, and having a baby... I am woman, hear me panic. And cope, I'm sure :) Us chicks are pretty tough, you know.
